About Me - Liza Yiftach

My name is Liza, a pastry chef for over 15 years. I was born and raised in Israel, and in 2018 our family relocated to Miami, where I bake and sell my cakes from my home kitchen.

Growing up, baking wasn’t really my thing — even though my parents had a small pastry business in our house. During a difficult financial time, my mom stepped in to help support the family, and my dad, who had left his furniture store, began baking cookies and working with an industrial mixer from home.

I studied pastry in Israel and continued my training in France. Later, I also studied early childhood education, and when I worked as a kindergarten teacher, I used to bring my mixer from home and bake with the children.

Today baking is my creativity and daily passion. I love dreaming up new cakes and combining flavors and textures in unexpected ways.

But baking isn’t my only love. I’m addicted to music and have been dancing since I was a little girl. Music is always playing in my kitchen, and there’s a good chance you’ll find me baking and dancing at the same time.

Alongside baking and selling cakes, I also create dairy catering and host baking and dessert workshops for adults and kids — and they have become a tremendous success.
